Degree Programme in Communication and Media
In
the Degree Programme in Communication and Media (240 ECTS) the students
can specialise either in multimedia or civic journalism. The four-year
study programme combines technically professional media skills (TV, radio
web) with the ability to produce analytical and critical media content
from diverse perspectives.
The emphasis of education is on the
quality of journalistic content and on the social awareness and
responsibility required from professional journalists. Work assignments,
practical training and projects are an important part of the learning
process.
The language of the degree studies is Finnish. Courses in
English are offered only in spring term.
